Yves Mély is currently deputy director for external affairs in the UAR2057 FBI-Core and therefore participates at the board of Euro-Bioimaging.

He is also heading the France-BioImaging Alsace Node, where he is leading the team « Biophotonics of molecular and cellular interactions », one of the R&D team of the Alsace Node. This team develops quantitative and high-resolution fluorescence microscopy techniques in synergy with fluorescence probes.
