3D imaging of spheroids and organoids
The Evident Ixplore workstation equipped with the Yokogawa CSU-W1 scan head, Hamamatsu orca-fusion camera and the UPLSAPO Si/1.05 30x objective is a powerful tool for acquiring clarified spheroid and organoid samples up to 800 µm thick. The use of silicone as an immersion medium is effective in matching the refractive index of most tissue clarification solutions, enabling deep imaging with reduced spherical aberrations and a resolution that allows subcellular detail to be observed effectively. The sensitivity of the entire optical path of the system, including the camera, coupled with the wide field of view characteristic of the Yokogawa CSU-W1 scan head, allows the user to observe sensitive samples with high temporal resolution and low photobleaching and phototoxicity.
