PIC-STRA offers solid experience in muscle sample preparation (cutting, fixing, marking). Thanks to the multiple acquisition systems available (wide field, confocal, super-resolution, slide scanner + deconvolution), our platform provides tools for characterising muscle samples, from whole tissue sections to subcellular details. A dedicated analysis tool developed in-house, ‘MyoMage’, is available to automatically segment muscle fibres, measure morphometric data (Feret diameter, area, perimeter) and fluorescence intensities, detect fibres with internal nuclei (centronuclear or otherwise) and type the fibres.
