We are pleased to announce that the 4th Sino-French BioImaging Symposium will be held in Bordeaux from 14 to 21 October 2026.

Overall description

The 4th Sino-French BioImaging Symposium (SFBS-2026) is an international event dedicated to cutting-edge imaging technologies for life sciences, with a special focus on super-resolution and advanced microscopy methods. Organized in the framework of an International Research Network (IRN) – BioImage – between France and China, this event brings together leading experts, early-career researchers, and industrial partners from both China and Europe.

Hosted in Bordeaux, France, SFBS-2026 combines two complementary components:

  • An advanced thematic school (14–16 October 2026) designed for young researchers who wish to deepen their theoretical and practical knowledge in state-of-the-art super-resolution imaging techniques.
  • A three-day international symposium (19–21 October 2026) featuring keynote lectures, invited talks, selected short communications, posters, and industrial sessions.

By gathering world-class scientists from China, France, and Europe, SFBS-2026 aims to stimulate technological and methodological exchange, strengthen collaborations, and foster the emergence of the next bioimaging technologies’ generation. The event is jointly organized by the Interdisciplinary Institute for Neuroscience (IINS), the Bordeaux Imaging Center (BIC), and France-BioImaging, in partnership with the National Biomedical Imaging Center (NBIC) of Peking University (PKU).
