Focus on the thematic school (14-16 October 2026)
The SFBS-2026 Thematic School will welcome 25 PhD students and post-doctoral researchers from France and China for three days of immersive training on the latest methodological and technological advances in super-resolution microscopy. The programme will combine:
- Lectures delivered by leading French and Chinese specialists in microscopy, image analyst, and quantitative imaging.
- Hands-on practical workshops, allowing participants to engage directly with cutting-edge instruments, analytical pipelines, and experimental strategies either on home-made instrument and software solutions, or on instruments and solutions provided by industrial partners.
The school is designed to encourage skill-sharing, collaborative problem solving, and network building among young scientists. By bringing together complementary expertise from both countries, this training programme aims to support the development of partnerships and to enhance the mobility of early-career researchers within the IRN framework.
Focus on the Scientific Symposium (19-21 October 2026)
The SFBS-2026 Scientific Symposium will gather the French, Chinese, and European bioimaging communities for three days of high-level scientific exchange. Renowned leaders in super-resolution microscopy, advanced optical imaging, and quantitative biology will present their latest research and technological developments. Interactions between established experts and early-career researchers will be emphasized through the possibility to present original projects through selected talks and posters.
The symposium will also feature contributions from industrial partners, highlighting innovative imaging solutions and fostering dialogue between academia and industry. By bringing together cutting-edge research, emerging talent, and technological innovation, SFBS-2026 aims to strengthen long-term collaborations and foster fruitful interactions in the international biological imaging community.
