Working Group presentation

The CLEM Working Group (WG-CLEM), dedicated to correlative microscopy (CLEM), is a forum for exchange and collaboration that brings together researchers, engineers, and users to discuss the technologies and methodologies of correlative microscopy. Its goal is to build connections within the CLEM community, encourage discussions, and promote the sharing of expertise and resources. The group also consists of two thematic subgroups:

  • “Technology and Literature Watch” Subgroup: This subgroup is responsible for monitoring scientific and technical developments related to correlative microscopy. It identifies commercially available solutions (reagents, tools, or software) and compiles a selection of major scientific articles to create a document repository accessible to all members. The subgroup also disseminates feedback to share advancements and best practices with the community.
  • “Fluorescent Probes” Subgroup: This subgroup brings together expertise in fluorescent probes and proteins used in correlative microscopy, both under room-temperature conditions (RT-CLEM) and cryogenic conditions (Cryo-CLEM). The group also conducts targeted literature reviews focused on CLEM-specific probes. Another of its major objectives is to identify experts in France, with a view to fostering collaboration and supporting future methodological developments.

Main objectives of the WG Mechanobiology

  • Build connections and foster collaboration within the CLEM community
  • Identify, catalog, and share existing CLEM expertise and projects within laboratories and platforms
  • Provide a directory of CLEM skills and experience for users and engineers.
  • Promote interdisciplinary discussions and collaborations.
  • Organize events to energize the community, such as themed days with seminars and hands-on workshops
